Personal Counselling 2022-23
Personal counselling by teachers addresses a range of issues that impact students' academic performance, well-being, and overall experience on campus. It aims to provide practical support, guidance, and solutions to help students navigate challenges effectively and thrive in their academic journey.
Syllabus Related Problems: This includes difficulties students may face in understanding the curriculum, keeping up with coursework, or feeling overwhelmed by academic demands.
Reducing stage fright and promoting public speaking/anchoring: Many students struggle with stage fright or lack confidence in public speaking or organizing an event. Counselling includes techniques for managing anxiety, building confidence, and developing effective communication skills.
Hygiene Issues: Personal hygiene is a sensitive issue for some students. Teachers provide guidance on hygiene practices, addressing any concerns thoughtfully and supportively.
Staff Related Grievances: Students have concerns or complaints about teaching or non-teaching staff members. Counselling can facilitate communication, resolve grievances through appropriate channels and ensure dignified and fair resolution.
