Experimental vineyard objective

• To involve the students in a strong practicle knowledge. Each year, a group of students will be responsible of the experimentation vineyard management.
• At its scale, GARTI wants to be a center of research. This experimental vineyard is designed to answer actual and futur wine industry questions ( grape variety, clone, rootstock suitable for Nashik region; irrigation management; fertilisation management; soil preparation for new plantation; training system adapted for quality grapes etc.)

Experimental vineyard in construction

GARTI used to have a 21 acres table grapes vineyard. All the vines has been removed and GARTI is working on the plantation of wine grapes. The plants will be imported to get various materiel and be able to select in future the best plants regarding to Nashik region “Terroir”.

This year, a dynamic group of students is working on the first 2 hectars plantation with the guidance of our Principal.
