GARTI (Gargi Agriculture Research and Training Institute) is very young. The opening ceremony has been organised in 2006. But our Chairman, Mr Rajan Bachhao is working for this project since 2000. He travelled arround the world to get advises from specialists and to build the GARTI Syllabus.
It was a good news for the Indian wine industry that GARTI was supported by the Maharashtra government and affiliated to Pune university and Mahrashtra State Board of Techinical Education (M.S.B.T.E) Mumbai in 2006. As a every new structure, everything is not perfect but we have the passion, the ambition and support from Maharashtra education organisation.
GARTI has today more than 170 students, the College will be shifted to an other structure by July 2008 to support more students and to improve its facilities. Like the Nashik wine industry, the futur of GARTI is promising.
